American made router bits stand the test of time.  They hold up under usage that cheaper router bits won't withstand, so it is worth it to pay for these tough router bits.  Whiteside router bits are made in North Carolina and are put through a grueling process, starting as a steel bar, then put on a lathe, milled to cut the flutes, then put through a brazing station where carbide is added, and finally sharpening the carbide by hand.
